Users can freely download and utilize these apps in both the enterprise and community versions of Odoo. However, the license requires adherence to certain guidelines. Users are permitted to distribute and publish free apps under any license, provided they comply with the LGPLv3 license for core community addons. Additionally, users can modify and distribute free apps without restrictions, as long as they uphold the terms of the LGPLv3 license.
Odoo Enterprise License
Odoo Enterprise License sets forth the conditions for using the Odoo Enterprise Edition software. Under this license, users are not allowed to execute, modify, or run modified versions of the software without a valid subscription. Subscription is user-based, and exceeding the authorized number of users is considered illegal. Only Odoo partners have the authorization to modify and execute the software, except in live or production environments.
